Guyana credit bureau failing – govt changing laws to share your info without your consent

this is fascinating stuff
listening to minister of business here talking on the floor about an amendment to a bill dealing with credit bureau
because Guyanese are failing to give permission to give permission to businesses for their information to be shared
govt is now passing a bill to pass on that info without the customer giving his consent!
govt is saving you from yourself and making sure you have access to credit!

i gotta listen to this again
this is some serious rass here if you ask me 🙂

This would be concerning. My information should not/cannot be shared without my written consent unless it is a national security issue. I can understand the need to know your credit score (of course) but only if you have signed on that dotted line giving consent, should your information be shared. Let’s see what progresses.
