Jagdeo/Ramroop Times: In response, Jagdeo on Friday said the Vice President is attempting to distract the Guyanese public from the issue at hand. “I think Mr Ramjattan does not want to declare his assets and income. So what do you do? You find a whipping horse… but I think Ramjattan owns substantially more assets than I do abroad,” the former President contended.
However, he said if he is as rich as Ramjattan claims, it is clearly because he is being financed by him. “The only way I can own billions of dollars is if Ramjattan, from what I have heard, has given me some money from the sale of gun licenses.”
