just hit refresh for my latest. this page is being updated all day
Just popped in and out the voting booth

day started off with my phone dead and the charging cable malfunctioning. slight panic
noting to worry about aftr all
get anotehr cable. panic can kill you
even the barometric pressure seems quite different today. the wind ah’nall blowing different
lots of people milling about Bagotsville junction. all look happy and contented. almost a festive atmosphere. one girl said let me see yuh finguh and make sure yuh vote
oh i now goin an vote
ok good
her friend jokingly said mek sure yuh put de x next to de cup

a boy alked up to me and asked me if he can go and vote. i was confused but he really and truly had no clue if he can go and vote. he is a high school drop out but you can see the excitement in his face. turns out he is only 17 and and wont be able to vote but he did not understand this and no one obviously took the time to explain it to him.
became dejected when i explained this to him. you could see in his eyes he wanted to sprint up dem stairs and mark his x
don’t overunderestimate the level of youth ignorance in Guyana under ppp rule
it’s real
he thought the voting age in guyana was 14. it’s not. it’s 18

1036 : spotted a crew of four happy looking OAS observers leaving my polling station. cameras and their lil OAS jackets. lots of people milling about te polling station quite happy.

1142: news trickling in about who and who done left the country from the ppp side of the aisle and who done got tickets in hand

1215: i know obgyn’s will be dying at this time for news and info. i was down that road for quiet a few elections while overseas but listen up obg’s. jus chill 🙂 other than a few gossip here and there there will be nothing much to report except feelings, emotions and the like.

1232: typical american rah-rah by CBS reporter on why carter left Guyana et cetera here. it looked like they came to cover the elections, but in reality they came to embed with a former president 100 election observing and ride out with secret service agents on a gulf stream

Again, the mind races when the unknowns involve a former president in a foreign country, drastic travel changes and an exchange of phone calls at a time when ALL of us should have been in Dreamland USA.

1248 : someone tried to send off 50 kilos of coke yesterday

1254 : clement rohee salutes guyanese with voting wrong finger

such a real ‘winner’

1318 : man caught earlier in south ruimveldt with two stuffed ballot boxes 🙂
man caught in south ruimveldt with stuffed ballot boxes

1706 : 54 minutes to poll closing in guyana. apparently david granger saved kwame mccoy from serious licks at a polling station in georgetown. st. sidwells?

1926: polling stations being monitored by the people 🙂

1945 : rain

1954 : heard alexi ramotar showed up at west ruimveldt polling place with a letter to collect ballot boxes. Unsuccessful attempt

2033 : ena ramcharran reporting on channel 28 that ‘opposition supporters’ attacked four innocent men based on ‘rumours’

2037 : granger and police did rescue kwame mccoy from licks at st sidwell school

2109 : lots of bullshit and propaganda being fitered out by ppp boys and girls to cause mass panic in the place. to be ignored
kwame mccoy was not injured or attacked from the video i saw. he exited the school surrounded by police and david granger and entered a police vehicle. the vehicle drove off with granger and harmon in the back to safety.

2139 : GECOM know your polling place link is disabled http://gecom.org.gy/search.php

2144 : Guyana elections statement of polls are beginning to trickle in 🙂
