the chronicle ran a story saying six had endorsed the pee gang on march 23
Before Rohee took to the podium, former World Boxing Champion Andrew “Six-Head” Lewis, who was at the meeting, told the Guyana Chronicle that he endorses the PPP, and has joined the party to “knock out the coalition”.
He said the PPP/C is a people-oriented party, disclosing that it has always been for him, and he will never turn his back on the ruling administration.
The PPP/C, he said, was there for him when he won the World Championship, supporting him as a poor youth from Albouystown, hungry for success in a clean way, and he would encourage the underprivileged to vote for the Cup on May 11. [six heads was living in the USA and fighting. but dont let the facts get in your way of this narrative]
Lewis said he is not too familiar with the leaders of the Alliance, and said from all indications; they appear to be opportunists and not suitable people to lead the country. [six as political commentator slash analyst!]
five days later, six heads visited kaieteur news to tell his side of the story. five days later and after much shame and disgrace was heaped on his head. the same day the kaieteur story ran, james bond posted a video on facebook with six heads wearing his green shirt all smiles. james was one who laced into six heads for his apparent endorsement
Andrew “Six Head” Lewis has denounced claims by the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) that he has joined that party to “knock out the coalition”, saying the party was scandalous in its pronouncement.
[he] made it clear that he does not endorse the PPP and is standing behind A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) and Alliance for Change (AFC) coalition.
Lewis told this publication that last Sunday he was in Albouystown around 21:00 hours with some friends when he heard that the party was having a public meeting in the area.
The 44-year-old said he went there and merely shook hands with Presidential Advisor, Gail Teixeira; the party’s General Secretary, Clement Rohee; party supporter, Manzoor Nadir and some other party members. [wuh yuh doin deh?
Lewis told Kaieteur News that he was approached by a Guyana Chronicle reporter who asked what he thought about the elections. The boxer said, considering that he was in the PPP camp, he opted for a diplomatic response and had reportedly responded “it would be close.”
“The next day, I hear I am in the PPP.”
Lewis said, “I don’t know you can take my picture and say I endorse a party just so. This is a scandal, a lie. I am with the APNU+AFC coalition. They have lied on me making I look like I disrespect people who look up to me.”
“No. I can’t do that…People are saying people in Guyana suffering, people getting killed and I’m going with the PPP. It’s not true. “
i happen to believe that andrew like many a-confused negroe in guyana did endorse the gang in some way shape or fashion. and that’s his right
he was not doing too well financially as the story goes
he wont be the first broke/confused/deluded negroid to crawl over to the purveyors of freedumb. and he certainly wont be the last. see urling.
think of it this way, unless a negroe is operating with a cotton picking mind, why on earth would he go to a PPP rally? but he didn’t stop there. he went to the rally, mingled and shook hands with the big shits shots from ROBb st. gail, clement & the mysteriously wealthy manzoor
one day after the kaieteur article, the chronic did a follow up not-so-nice piece on lewis
It was noted that Lewis last fought about 10 years ago, and during the encounter, he failed to knock out his opponent, but instead came close to suffering a bowel disruption in the ring.
Given the former boxing champion’s latest pronouncements, it appears as though he was not knocked out, but ‘suffered’ a memory blackout from the stinging rebuke on social media.
i don’t know andrew lewis and i’ve never met him. a friend was on his entourage when he arrived in guyana and would send me daily lick down updates as they traveled the country. i had a tinge of jealousy not being home to see the champ
i promised to go see him train earlier this year and take some pictures but never got around to it. my only encounter with him was on durban street a few years ago
a friend said, look the former world champ deh
i said, whey?
he said, duh is he right deh gettin tow
a man with a smile i instantly recognised was on a broken down motor cycle being towed down the street. he had one leg out hooked onto the other bike.
i was quite disturbed and couldn’t believe what the champ had been reduced to a laughing stock in Guyana. the sun was going down but andrew had long disappeared over the horizon.
he’ll always be our first world champ and i did watch him knock out james page
i was told when he was killed accident, andrew lewis was wearing an APNU jersey. after emancipation day, may 11, i hope this cold case is reopened for the sake of andrew
