i try to photograph everyone at protests. it’s a habit that has saved me a few times. once in mexico a ‘protester’ stole all my posessions except my camera. he must’ve forgot i photographed him that morning having breakfast. eventually flushed him out of a hole and tracked all my stuff down. he was suspected to be a cop.
what stood out about the guy in question at the marriott protest from the beginning is he drove to the front of the protest and persons had to move so he could park his car. making a bold statement on arrival. i found this quite odd since there was ample parking elsewhere, but then again Guyana has loads of odd people. not to include me 🙂
the car as you can see from photo below was decorated with an APNU flag across the bonnet and full APNU colours everywhere.
he came out and immediately began talking about blowing shit up, killing people and the fact that he was the right man for the job [blowing shit up and killing people] since he was muslim.
freddie kissoon has a piece in kaieteur news on one of the agent provocateurs at the Guyana Marriott protest. There are a few errors in the piece to which i will get to.

Freddie Kissoon: He appeared normal and wore the green colours of APNU. [as you can see by foto only thing green on him was his scarf. when he came he had on a skull cap worn by muslim males and subsequently took it off] He had WPA pamphlets which he gave out to passersby. But something wasn’t right about his deportment and language
He talked about bombing and killing. We ignored him because in a crowd we cater for some crazy people. …
We then forced our way through the human cordon of policemen and succeeded in getting the Mayor through. By this time, this man in green had pushed down the barricades and had physical confrontations with the policemen. [there were a first line of barricades and a second set of two barricades on the left hand side of the road about 50 feet away that was just there for show. the agent picked up one of these and hurled it towards the fence of the Umana Yana while shouting more words about violence] He was arrested by three policemen. The crowd forgot about him and marched towards the entrance of the Marriott.
i have a picture of him being led away but we could not let his arrest sidetrack from getting to the main gate of the marriott. something seemed odd about the whole thing to me, but at some point before his arrest i said to him calm down, we are already past the police line. he didn’t reply and kept walking forward until them came to arrest him
Long after most of the persons in the protest had left. the car HB 6605 driven by the agent returned to pick up two officers who were standing on the pave outside the main gate of the marriot. those officers were constable weekes 222444 & constabe otto 22259

how do i know the names and numbers of the two constables? well my camera tend not to lie to me
in the above pics weekes is on the left and otto is on the right. here is a photo of them moments before the car arrived. otto is to the left in this photo walking behind weekes who is the taller of the two

the car stopped to pick them up maybe 20 feet from where we were standing. naturally everyone remembered the car and put two and two together.
i went over to the car as ime pass in front of us and made a u-turn
what’s up bro? what happened?
nothing. everything good. i al’right
here is weekes and otto standing minutes before the car arrived.

they didn’t call out to the car nor did the driver call out to them. the car rolled up, they crossed the street and jumped in
