haitian man lynched in dominican republic

i’ve been to the dominican republic about 6 times. each time crossing from haiti and passing through this town [neiba] and the other border towns. each time i had to endure the haitian treatment. there’s nothing more confusing & bizarre as encountering racist taunts, insults and attacks from African people for being African. self hatred is a dangerous thing.

haitian man lynched in neiba dominican republic. the man with gun is a police

cnn ireport: After an Out Cry of injustice, the Dominican Police claimed, quote: “He tried to rob somebody.” This man was deprived of his dignity; his pants were down; he was publicly displayed like they were putting on a show; he was denigrated and humiliated to a point where he preferred death over living. He was striked, whipped, spit on, and beaten to death by a group of mob. They said: “he tried to rob somebody and got caught.” His second crime was: “He is Haitian.” A christian will say this is an inhuman act; an unhearted person will say: ” We don’t really know what happened or what he did or the picture maybe faked.” IT’S UP TO YOU. YOU MAKE YOUR OWN JUDGEMENT.

My judgment? All mob justice is evil and one of the worst abuses of human rights. But we have it here in Jamaica, too.
