Expect tall lies and gross mis-representation of the facts as the Guyana delegation rolls into UN World Conference on Indigenous People. they will talk about the “great” Amerindian Act 2006 and other fables without stating the following:
- 20% mining royalties to the indigenous fund is MISSING
- carolyn rodrigues as minister of amerindian affairs LOST the paperwork to bring the Amerindian Act of 2006 into force. yea, she lost it
- four years later pauline sukhai slipped a new retroactive commencement order through parliament
- from 2006 to 2010 over 1.6 billion owed to the indigenous people of guyana
- guyana geology and mines has instead turned over 1.6 billion+ to michael brassington & bharrat jagdeo via NICIL
- the guyana govt is delaying land titling and demarcation
- the guyana govt is giving mining permits on amerindian titled land
- amerindian communities are being surrounded by miners and chinese halting any future possibility of expansion
- rivers and streams are being polluted by miners
- ameridians women and girls are being sexually exploited by miners, loggers and govt officials
Guyana’s delegation
President Donald Ramotar, Minister of Amerindian Affairs Pauline Sukhai, Minister of Foreign Affairs Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett and Guyana’s Ambassador to the United Nations, George Talbot are currently attending the 69th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, World Conference on Indigenous People at its headquarters in New York.
