NATIONAL FARMERS ORGANISATION (NFO).
This year marks the 37th Anniversary of the National Farmers Organization (NFO), which was established in May 1980 to serve and promote the interests of all farmers in Guyana. The issues affecting all farmers will be resolved through strong partnerships, involving the government and its agencies.
NFO pays Special attention to farmers who are engaged in food crops, livestock, peasant subsistence, commodity crops, and kitchen garden farmers.
NFO works tirelessly:
· To improve and rationalise markets
· Contribute to consumption and nutrition to the overall development of the country.
NFO has operated and functioned as a non-partisan, non-sectarian body with membership open to all bona-fide farmers.
