  heaven right here in earth There have been “four faces” of The O’Jays. The vocal group was formed in Canton, Ohio by Eddie Levert, Sr., Walter Williams, Sr., William Powell, Bobby Massey and Bill Isles. The group was named after Cleveland DJ Eddie O’Jay.
